How do I get started with a new account?
There are 2 ways to setup an account. One is to fill out our order form which is located on our website, another is to contact sales (we respond to support questions in 30 minutes or less)

Can I pay without using a credit card?
Yes, you can pay with a money order or check.

What if my domain name is already registered?
If your domain name is already registered we will contact the registrar for you and modify the dns information. All you have to do is approve the changes once you receive an e-mail from the registrar. Please note that if your domain name can only be changed via a login or password we will not be able to do anything. If you provide us with the login or password then we will modify the dns information for you, otherwise simply change the dns information yourself.

How can I transfer my files from my current host?
Transferring files is simple. You can use your favorite ftp program ( eg. cuteftp or ws_ftp ) and download the files to your local computer and then re-upload the information to our servers. If you use a program like FrontPage then you can simply publish your files to the servers IP address or your domain name once it is pointing to our servers. We also provide this service for no cost.

I have a domain name already, how do I use it?
All you have to do is change the DNS ( Name Server ) information from your current host to ours. Within 24 - 48 hours your domain name will point to our servers and start to work with your account.

What is the ftp address for my website?
The ftp address to your website is usually ftp.yoursite.com.
If this does not work try using ftp.ihostthem.com

What is the address to publish a web using Microsoft FrontPage?
The address to publish a web to should be http://www.yoursite.com
Note: be sure your website is accessible by typing the name before attempting this
What scripting languages are supported, if any?
At this time we current support Perl (CGI), PHP, ASP, ASP.NET
Note: Supported languages are planed based. Check support features of your purchased plan for more information.

What file extensions are supported?
Almost any file extensions are supported
Below are that most common files extensions and the actions that will be taken by the server
.jpg -- > will display jpg image
.gif --> will display gif image
.png --> will NOT display image
.bmp --> will NOT display image
.cgi ---> will execute perl script
.asp ---> will execute asp script
.php ---> will execute php script
.aspx ---> will execute asp.net script
.pl ---> will NOT execute perl script (rename to .cgi)
.htm --> will display hypertext page
.html --> will display hypertext page
.shtml --> will display hypertext page and also execute SSI code
.shtm --> will display hypertext page and also execute SSI code
.txt --> will display text file

Is SSI (Server Side Include) supported?
Yes, if it says so in your package description.
Note: Files with ssi code must end with .shtm or .shtml

Why do I get errors when my cgi scripts try to write?
You are probably missing necessary permission on that folder.
contact support with the error message you are receiving and we will work with you to resolve the problem.

What are the POP and SMTP settings?
The incoming mail settings for your account should be mail.yourdomainname.com or mail.ihostthem.com
The out going mail settings should also be mail.yourdomainname.com or mail.ihostthem.com
Note: If you are using our mail servers to send emails, you must configure your mail client to logon with your user name and password before sending. Also, in some cases you might need to configure the outgoing/sending mail server port to be 80 instead of the standard 25

Yes, forwarding can be configured under manage e-mail account in the control panel

How many addresses can I forward to?
Each e-mail address can be forwarded to 2 separate addresses
Why do my forwarders not work?
Most likely this is due to a misspelling in the e-mail address being forwarded to or your destination email address provider blocking forwarded messages. AOL is once such provider who constantly blocks forwarded messages.

Can I send e-mail through MavrickTeam, Inc servers?
Yes, you can enter mail.yourdomain.com (example: mail.ihostthem.com) in the out going server field of your email client. You must also check the option that this server requires authentication and enter the same user name and password you would normally use to receive messages.
